We Are Switching To Kilograms!

We Are Switching To Kilograms!

In the last couple of months, our sales representatives and customer delight team have been all ears to your valuable feedback. One request stood out: change your weight measurement system to kilograms (kg) from pounds (lbs). We have heard your voices loud and clear.

At Heroshe, we are more than just a shipping company. We are your shipping buddy, a partner in accessing global markets, and a trusted ally in bridging the commerce gap. We know that every package we deliver carries your hopes, dreams, and aspirations, and we are committed to making every step of your journey as simple and affordable as possible.

Today, we are excited to announce a game-changing update based directly on your feedback. After carefully listening to your needs and desires, we are changing our weight measurement from pounds (lbs) to kilograms (kg). This decision will make our rates the most affordable in Nigeria. Seriously!

Premium Plan

  • Subscription Fee: $20/month or $220/year
  • Air Shipping Fee (U.S., U.K., China): $8/kg
  • Ocean Shipping Fee (US): $5/kg
For context, I bought a Dell laptop in March that weighed 0.989kg (2.12 lbs) and cost $24 to ship to Nigeria. If I had to ship that same laptop today, it would cost only $10.87!

What Does This Mean For You?

We know you like us because we provide transparent pricing, no hidden fees, and no surprises. With our switch to kg pricing, we stay true to these commitments while improving your shipping experience. Let me break it down for you.

Breakdancing
Reads the wrong brief and starts breakdancing.

Here is how our transition to kg pricing benefits you:

Enjoy Nigeria's most affordable shipping rates: This sounds like bragging, but IT IS TRUE! With our previous model, we rounded up the weight to the nearest whole number and charged you based on that. Now, we charge you based on the EXACT weight of your item. If you want to buy an Apple iPad Air that weighs 617 grams (0.617 kg), you will pay only $6.7! What other shipping company gives you these rates?

New Minimum Weight: With the new pricing model, we are introducing a new minimum weight of 0.3kg. So, if you want to ship a phone, clothes, or wigs below this weight, we will round it up to 0.3kg.

Calculations in KG: We have updated our shipping calculator and dashboard to use only kilograms for pricing and display.

Process and Weighing: Our U.S., U.K., and China representatives will switch from pounds to kilograms for processing and weighing packages. This ensures consistency and accuracy when recording weights in our system.

Manifest and Details: All our operational pages, including arrivals, orders, shipments, manifest, and waybill pages, will now display weights in kilograms to align with our new pricing model.

What happens to older shipments?: Shipments processed before this change will continue displaying weight in pounds until we deliver the items to you. However, we will charge you at the new rate of $11/kg at checkout. This gradual transition ensures a smooth shift to kg weighing across all our operations.

How do you make the switch to the new pricing model? It is pretty simple. All you have to do is log into your Heroshe account.
